About the Teacher
Ms. Zielinski
This is my 2nd year teaching 5th-grade & 6th-grade math here at Holy Cross School. Previously, I worked for 3 years as a Preschool teacher at Fernbrook Farms Environmental Education Center. There, I spent 8 hours a day outside hiking, fishing, and learning in the creek with 3 to 5-year-olds.

I have my master's Degree in Writing, and while ELA is my focus, I also love Science, and am coming to enjoy math which when I was in school, was never my favorite. Reading and Writing are two of my passions and something I hope to spark a love for in my students.

I have 2 dogs, Rosie and Finley, and live in Wilmington, Delaware. When I am not teaching, you can find me gardening, hiking, camping, kayaking, or reading in my hammock. I also love cooking. I have a twin sister who is getting married in September 2024.
Favorites:
My favorite color is yellow, and my favorite salty snack is sweet n' spicy Doritos. I also like sour gummy worms and drink Dr. Pepper occasionally. My favorite sport to watch & play is soccer, and I love to play Dungeons and Dragons. Growing up I did play Mario Cart on the GameCube which was my favorite game. My favorite animals are frogs, raccoons, and dragons. My favorite children's books are The Hobbit, Harry Potter, and The Chronicles of Narnia. My favorite superheroes are Deadpool, Antman, and Black Panther.
